Dear Virtual Public School Families,
The Oregon State Legislature is considering legislation, HB2170, which would cut funding for our virtual public schools. A funding cut would threaten either the quality of our schools or their very existence. It must be stopped.
Can you please just take five minutes to share with your legislators why full funding for virtual public schools is important to your family?
As the legislature begins the debate on HB2170, we need your help! Here’s what you can do:
Send an email to your legislators asking them to oppose cuts to virtual public school funding. This is easy to do: simply click here and fill out this form. Don’t forget to add a personal message about why virtual schools are critical for your child’s education. The form provides a blank message box for you to add your personal message.
Oregon’s virtual public schools already suffer from lower funding levels than brick- and-mortar public schools. We know adequate resources are vital for our children’s success. Let’s make sure our message is heard loud and clear. Please contact your legislators today and remind them of the value virtual public schools provide to children across our state.
Thank you for all you do for Oregon’s virtual public school families!
Sincerely,
Steven Isaacs
President
