Dear Virtual Public School Family —
In early September, virtual public school students across Oregon headed back to school. Now that we are into the swing of the school year, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tricia Powell and I'm the new President of the Oregon Virtual Public Schools Alliance (OVPSA) and learning coach to my daughter, a 7th grader at Baker Web Academy. My son is a 4th grader at our local brick and mortar public school. Our family is a perfect example of the importance of school choice and the ability to choose the education option that works best for each child.
The OVPSA is a coalition of Oregon families who have joined together to advocate for virtual public schools in our state. OVPSA parents have worked hard to educate and inform Oregon policymakers about the importance of virtual public schools. Your participation makes a real difference to our leaders in Salem.
