Share Our Post to Protect Parent Choice in Education

We need Oregon parents to sign the petition to urge Governor Brown and State Legislators to protect a parent's right to choose the best education option for their child by lifting the enrollment cap on online public schools!

With COVID-19 closing traditional classrooms around the state, more parents are seeking better online learning options. Oregon school districts are hitting the 3% student enrollment cap for full-time online public schools set by the State Legislature in 2011. After nearly 10 years, that number hasn't been adjusted to account for growth. Districts are denying children access to online public schools at exactly the time they're needed most.

It's critical that this education option is available for students. Tell your lawmakers to permanently lift the enrollment cap to give parents the ability to choose the best learning environment for their child, especially in the face of COVID-19 closures.
