Teen seeks to eliminate barrier of dresses from high school girls going to prom
For many high school girls, going to their first prom can be a scary proposition.
Mikayla Wood knew few people when she went to her first prom as a freshman and wasn't sure what to expect.

Hello and Welcome Back
In early September, virtual public school students across Oregon headed back to school. Now that we are into the swing of the school year, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tricia Powell and I'm the new President of the Oregon Virtual Public Schools Alliance (OVPSA) and learning coach to my daughter, a 7th grader at Baker Web Academy. My son is a 4th grader at our local brick and mortar public school. Our family is a perfect example of the importance of school choice and the ability to choose the education option that works best for each child.
